Working on a repeat

The Knights took on the twelfth seed St. Davids in the quarter finals of the 2A NCISAA State Tournament. In their first meeting, the Knights overcame the Warriors by five points in a nail-bitter.

The second meeting of the two teams saw a close match up in the first with back and forth scoring from both teams.  At the end of the half, Village led by eight points 39-31.

In the second half, Village came out strong increasing the lead and making it look more promising for the team to advance in the tournament. In the end, Village defeated St. Davids 73-59.

The Village boys then advanced to the sweet sixteen and traveled to Asheville to play against fourth seed Carolina Day who they lost to earlier in the season by six points.  Village defeated Carolina Day 69-58 and will again Fri., Feb 24 at Gaston Day.
