Last Tuesday night at the Kastle, the Class of 2019 won for the second year in a row securing a #back2back title during the traditional powder puff game to “kick off” the homecoming week.
“To win back to back is a great feeling. Beating the 2017 seniors as sophomores gave us the best feeling because we made Village history. The class of 2018 wasn’t that much of a challenge because we also beat them last year,” Makayla Kimble said.
Kimble was recognized as MVP of the junior class, scoring touchdowns during each of the three games. With one practice prior to Tuesday night, the junior class showed out and dominated everyone in their path.
At the last couple seconds, both juniors and seniors met at midfield, celebrating their victories with school spirit. Will the class of 2019 keep their streak next year and win for the third year in a row as seniors? Stay tuned!
