2017 SAC Conference Champion

This year’s Village boys’ varsity soccer team ended their season with a 10-3-1 record. One of the leading strikers on the team, Daniel Moody, was named to the 2A Boys Soccer All-State Team being the 10th player in Village history to be on this team. When asked how he felt about being a part of this team he said,” It’s truly a blessing. I never thought I would have made the team, but hard work and dedication pays off.”

Moody prepared for this season by going to all of the soccer workouts and hitting the gym to improve his speed and strength. He would like to thank Coach Ellis and Coach Morrison for their instruction and time the spent helping him.

Moody was also added to this year’s All- Conference Team. When asked about this he said,” It feels good, especially being with four other teammates on the team as well.”

This is Moody’s last year playing soccer and he says,” Of course this was my best season, nothing can surpass this season. I met all my personal goals and accomplished a lot as a team. I am grateful for my teammates.”

Moody would like to leave the team with,” Don’t lose focus. You can do anything you set your mind to, you just have to work at it. Don’t take anything for granted, time flies, enjoy it while it lasts.”
